Research at GE Healthcare is a part of the Technology and Medical Research Solution Group led by Jörg Debatin M.D., the Vice President and Chief Technology and Medical Officer for GE Healthcare. The research team is managed by Bram Stolk, Ph.D., the Vice President and General Manager of Global Research Operations for GE Healthcare. Jeff Hersh serves as the Chief Medical Officer, Medical Solutions for GE Healthcare.

A team of research managers, each affiliated with a modality or product family, oversee the strategic research needs and portfolio for each product family. In addition, there is a team of regional research managers throughout the globe that serve as the local contact for research efforts in each region.

In addition to the research managers, the Research Operations and Clinical Affairs teams execute and manage both Investigator sponsored and GE sponsored research projects. GE Healthcare works with more than 500 research collaborators globally and spends more than $1.2 Billion annually in research and development We draw heavily on the spirit of innovation that thrives within the academic community to create better scientific and technological healthcare offerings.
