XDclear transducer technology:

the proprietary combination of advanced materials and innovative design leads to this amazing transducer technology. The LOGIQ E9 with XDclear platform enables these transducers of the advanced E-series family. The XDclear design incorporates Single Crystal technology to generate high quality acoustic signal. This quality is preserved through an innovative Acoustic Amplifier design coupled with GE’s patented Cool Stack technology to help  optimize energy management. This combination helps maximize the signal intensity to increase penetration and simultaneously deliver high definition resolution throughout the image.

  • Acoustic Amplifier Technology recycles previously wasted acoustic energy into the transducer’s crystal, boosting sensitivity.
  • Single Crystal Technology increases bandwidth, offering better signal-to-noise ratio and improved axial resolution.

The advanced technology of the LOGIQ E9 with XDclear was designed to offer extensive functionality beyond conventional ultrasound.1 The system provides an array of expert tools and technologies , today expanded with new features as Shear Wave elastography, including:

  • Strain Imaging and Shear Wave elastography
    the LOGIQ E9 with XDclear offers a comprehensive suite of elastography techniques, to suit with the wide variety of clinical applications and needs.

    • The Strain elastography package includes both qualitative and semi-Quantitative stiffness measurements, based on GE Raw Data processing, to help you assess tissue stiffness and improve your diagnostic information in a wide range of clinical applications. Available on all main probes, can be used in combination with Raw Data and Volume Navigation.
    • The new 2D Shear Wave elastography feature offers the advantages of quantitative elastography in abdominal and superficial applications.  This feature provides innovative and versatile tools for a quick and reliable acquisition of data and easy reporting.  The color coded shear wave image displays tissue stiffness or shear wave propagation with automatic positioning of the measurement ROI for easy workflow.  The additional capability of obtaining multiple measurements in an adjustable ROI helps to decrease overall exam time.  The combination of Shear Wave elastography and the LOGIQ E9's raw data capability, allows you to acquire shear wave clips, end the exam, dismiss the patient and perform the measurements at a more convenient time.

    • Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound (CEUS) with TIC quantification
      a full suite of settings for a superb contrast agent sensitivity, resolution and penetration in a range of clinical applications.

    • B-Flow and B-Flow Color Imaging
      based on GE coded technology, B-Flow displays true flow hemodynamics without the limitations of Doppler, that may help improve your clinical confidence in vascular assessment. Available on a wide number of transducers to cover the main clinical applications, today B-Flow is also available with the C2-9-D XDclear transducer for enhanced performances in abdominal and pediatric applications.

    • Volume Navigation technology
      Volume Navigation combines a variety of features including tracking GPS markers, Fusion imaging capabilities (live Ultrasound with CT, MRI, PET/CT, CBCT, AngioCT, SPECT, 3D Ultrasound), Tru3D and real time Needle Tracking solutions to help manage your patient in any stage of the care path.
      Simple and intuitive, the new Active Tracker with OmniTRAX** bracket introduces amazing US/CT Auto Registration with a one click operation, perfect to be adopted in a busy set up. Patient motion, breathing and transmitter movements are now managed with increased registration accuracy.
      The LOGIQ E9 with XDclear introduces additional enhancements in the management of Volumes from different modalities: the Multiple Volumes registration enable a quick auto or manual registration between volumes of the same patients acquired at different times.
      A wide range of transducer’s brackets are available to cover a variety of clinical applications including breast, musculoskeletal, small parts, neurology, abdomen, urology, vascular and pediatrics. V Nav can work in combination with CEUS, Strain Imaging elastography, the new Shear Wave elastography and B-Flow imaging.

      Volume Navigation technology combines multi-modality imaging with real-time ultrasound or previously acquired ultrasound  exams.

      Fusion merges real-time ultrasound with CT, MR, PET or ultrasound images, enabling you to benefit from the strengths of each exam.

      GPS markers help you to visually track your position during a scan from different views, help guide biopsies efficiently and effectively, and simplify the counting of masses, lesions and nodules.

      Needle Tracking helps you achieve a high level of accuracy for guided procedures by enhancing precision with a re-usable sensor that displays the exact position of the needle tip.


    Additional Expert Tools

    Volume Ultrasound uses 3D/4D hybrid transducers (including the new RAB6-D) to acquire anatomical volumetric dataset that can be reviewed and re-processed at a later stage. The anatomy can be displayed in different views that could help increase user’s diagnostic confidence.

    • Multiplanar imaging allows you to view any plane individually or simultaneously with other orthogonal planes.
    • The C-plane allows you to display areas in an imaging plane parallel to the skin—ordinarily impossible using conventional 2D ultrasound.
    • Tomographic Ultrasound Imaging (TUI) enables volume data to be viewed in multiple slices, much like CT and MR. 
    • Volume Calculation (VOCAL) helps you evaluate irregular structures by automatically calculating volumes based on automated or manual tracing of the structure.

    Volume Ultrasound can work in combination with Color, PDI and Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound for abdominal and vascular studies.

    Auto-IMT (Intima Media Thickness) helps provide automatic edge detection for intima-media thickness measurements to help reduce the exam time while evaluating the carotid artery’s intima-media thickness.

    Cardiac Tools

    • Tissue Velocity Imaging (TVI), a cardiac tool that measures the myocardial velocities longitudinally, evaluating systolic and diastolic function.
    • Tissue Velocity Doppler (TVD) measures segmental velocity of the myocardium longitudinally. 
    • Q-Analysis plots the velocity information of discrete points for graphical analysis.

Compare Assistant
helps clinicians perform ultrasound exams that involve comparisons to prior ultrasound or other modalities. With this feature, clinicians can view a prior study while conducting the current exam via a split screen on the ultrasound monitor.
