By the end of this program, the viewer should be able to:

  • Recognize the prime CT technical factors that shape image quality and influence radiation dose to patients.
  • Compare and contrast radiation dose emission characteristics of single and multidetector CT systems. 
  • Apply CT technical factors that will provide optimal image quality while adhering to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles. 
  • Define terminology used to categorize and measure CT radiation dose.
