Effective patient care not only considers the patient and families as customers but also requires staff to think and act with empathy and compassion during every patient encounter. Competent care takes into consideration factors like communication, health beliefs and awareness. This one day course will help front - line staff members (receptionists, cashiers, patient relations officers, security, etc.) understand the importance of their role in the overall provision of quality healthcare services. The course will focus more on the human aspect of patient care. It will demonstrate the importance / and ways to provide empathy and compassion to patients and their families.
